Dr Mark Nieh
BDS (Otago, NZ)
Dr Mark graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2005. After gaining experience and mentorship in several different dental practices, he decided to open his practice in Hornsby. Fast forward twelve years, the creation and success of Cosmetique Dental Group started, with 9 locations across NSW and ACT.
Dr Mark is obsessed with restorative and cosmetic dentistry and its never-ending evolution. He always endeavours to make his patient’s experience seamless and perfect.
Sitting in Dr Mark’s chair, you become his number one priority. Dr Mark will only ever recommend dental treatments that he would complete on his own family. He prides himself on delivering perfect results for all his patients.
His main interest in professional development in the past few years has been with restorative dentistry involving aesthetic restorations, dental materials research, and implant restorations.
When consulting with a patient, Dr Mark will always look at restoring the function and aesthetics of a patient’s smile. He believes this is a vital responsibility of being a top-calibre clinician.
He will always talk you through your treatment to keep you informed while relieving any fear or dental anxiety. Providing options after consideration of your current and future treatment needs is also a core value of Dr Mark’s dental philosophy.
He strongly believes in continuing education in any profession. His core interest in professional development in the past decade has been with restorative dentistry involving aesthetic restorations, dental materials research, and implant restorations. He maintains an active account with several prominent overseas research institutes to keep updated on the material research and treatment modalities.
Outside of work, family is important to Dr Mark, especially since having two young children.

Dr Philip Song
BDS (Hons) (USyd) BSc
Dr Philip Graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Dentistry with Honours. During his University studies, he received the University of Sydney Academic Merit prize, awarded to the top performing student in each faculty. An Honour he is still proud of today.
Dr Philip always receives feedback about his kindness, consideration and gentle nature, leading to many referrals from his new and loyal patients. He has a breadth of experience in multiple areas of dentistry. Dr Philip has a passion for general dentistry and endodontics, which he has specialised in for many years. He has also developed a niche focus in complex restorative treatments involving porcelain restorations on anterior (front) teeth.
Dr Philip firmly believes in continuing his education even though he has more than a decade of experience. He prides himself on understanding the most current dental materials and procedures to provide patients with optimal dental care. He regularly attends conferences, seminars and lectures, allowing him to offer his patients the best dental practices and outcomes.
He also has a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. Where he graduated with distinction, majoring in pharmacology and haematology. This knowledge has helped him develop a truly holistic approach to patient care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Philip has three young boys keeping him busy. He is also an avid motorhead and the proud owner of a Nissan GTR R35, which is his pride and joy.

Dr Richard Huang
DMD(USyd)
Dr Richard graduated from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He believes in providing a friendly and comfortable dental experience to all his patients. Prioritising his patients’ health and well-being first and working together to achieve a healthy smile is of utmost importance. He prides himself on working collaboratively with his patients to deliver a holistic and intentional treatment plan for all of his patients.
Dr Richard is interested in all aspects of dentistry. Including prevention, cosmetic dentistry, and children’s health. He continuously improves his clinical and patient skills and knowledge through continued education, including continuous professional development, dental seminars and lectures.
Outside of dentistry, Richard enjoys many sporting activities, soaking up the sun at the beach, trekking along scenic walks and indulging in good food with friends.

Oral Health Therapists
Lucia Doan
BOH (Usyd) Adult Scope
Lucia originally completed her Bachelor’s degree in Oral Health at the University of Sydney, allowing her to dual-qualify as a dental hygienist and dental therapist. After her initial qualifications, Lucia furthered her learning by completing an adult restorative scope dental course. Lucia can now provide care for patients of all ages with varying dental concerns and needs.
Lucia’s passion for dentistry started through her involvement with dental mission trips in Vietnam. During this stint, she provided urgent and necessary dental and medical treatment to patients in rural and remote areas. Lucia has trained at Westmead, Nepean and Sydney Dental Hospitals and is involved in oral health promotion programs for preschools and residential care facilities in rural areas in NSW.
Since graduating, Lucia has worked as a locum oral health therapist. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, helping them achieve their best oral hygiene results in a friendly and gentle manner. Her goal is to make dental visits enjoyable and stress-free.
Outside dentistry and oral health, she enjoys good food with family and friends, hiking and spending time with her two dogs.

Isean Chew
BOH (Usyd)
Isean studied at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Oral Health. During her tenure, she received two prestigious awards, the Hu Friedy Golden Scaler award for the highest proficiency in dental hygiene and therapy and the Colgate Oral Care award for the highest grade in the subject of Oral Health. Isean has always worked meticulously in her studies to deliver a fantastic experience for all her patients.
Upon graduation, Isean worked alongside specialist orthodontists – specifically training in traditional braces and aligner therapy such as Invisalign. From this, Isean’s particular attention to detail helps patients pursue their perfect smile – giving them the confidence to achieve the smile they’ve always wanted.
Isean has also trained in various hospitals in NSW and was involved in implementing public oral health programs and oral health promotion in pre-schools and aged care facilities. From this, Isean’s practice of oral health therapy in general practice focuses on spending time listening and explaining, ensuring that each patient is comfortable and reassured.
In treating patients of all ages, Isean is committed to fostering long-term relationships where she aims to help her patients maintain their teeth for a lifetime. Isean has been part of the Hornsby Dental family for seven years and firmly believes in preventative dentistry. Isean hopes to educate her patients while providing the best care possible.
When she isn’t tending to her patients, Isean has a keen interest in overall health and fitness. She also likes to explore her creativity by playing the piano and ukulele and going on food adventures.

Samira Gholamzadeh
BOH (CSU)
Samira is an experienced Oral Health Therapist with a Bachelor of oral health therapy from Charles Sturt University. She is a member of the DHAA and the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association.
Samira is thorough and has a unique preventive approach. She is passionate about helping her patients maintain the health and function of their teeth. She provides quality dental care to children and adults, cultivating informative consultations with constructive solutions for her patients so they can have the best care possible.
Samira also worked for a periodontal and implant specialist practice in Sydney. Her passion lies in the space of periodontal treatment and gum disease, where her main focus now lies. Samira completes multiple dental treatments in oral maintenance and care, cleaning and periodontal therapy.
Samira believes educating people about oral health while building mutual trust in the dental clinic is pivotal in helping patients. She feels motivated when her patients overcome anxiety or fear during and after treatment.
Outside dentistry, Samira enjoys swimming, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Practice Manager
Lindsey Whitehead
Lindsey has always had a deep passion for the dental industry. She started her career in dentistry over 20 years as a dental assistant, working with dentists and changing her patients’ lives through excellent dentistry. To this day, Lindsey still has a love for all things dental.
Lindsey is a caring, empathetic and kind-hearted person and receives feedback about her naturally warm presence. She loves meeting and forming bonds with her patients. She aims to deeply understand their wants and needs while providing the best service and outcome possible.
Linsdey joined the team in 2021 as a practice manager and has taken the role in her stride. She is a caring and natural leader, elevating the culture and morale of the practice daily. She enjoys the challenge of the position, with no two days being the same.
Lindsey loves to see the difference a beautiful smile can make to a patient’s confidence and enjoys seeing the change in a patient when they finally leave with a beautiful new smile.
Outside dentistry, you will find Linsdey out and about with her friends or at the dog park with her 2 Samoyeds.
