Porcelain veneers are ceramic restorations placed on the front surfaces of teeth. With interest-free payment plans starting from $57 per week, porcelain veneers require an individual assessment before treatment. Hornsby Dental offers Emax porcelain veneers. Preparation may involve irreversible enamel removal; sensitivity, chipping, debonding and future replacement are possible.
Composite veneers use tooth-coloured resin applied to the teeth. With interest-free payment plans starting from $40 per week, treatment remains subject to individual assessment. The number of appointments depends on the proposed treatment and your oral health. Composite can stain, chip or wear and may need polishing, repair or replacement. The appearance and lifespan vary between individuals.
*No Warranty for Composite Veneers: Unlike porcelain veneers, composite veneers do not come with a warranty. This is because composite resin is generally considered a weaker material than porcelain. While the aesthetics of composite veneers are comparable to porcelain initially, they are more prone to staining and wear over time.
*Night Guard: A night guard may be recommended to protect your composite veneers and prevent damage from grinding or clenching.
The number of veneers and appointments will be based on an individual assessment. Your dentist may use temporary veneers to assess the proposed appearance, bite and comfort before final placement. A trial is a planning step and does not assure a particular final outcome.

To protect the longevity of your veneers, your dentist may recommend wearing a night guard. This is especially beneficial for patients who grind their teeth or have a history of teeth clenching.
At Hornsby Dental, we stand by the quality of our porcelain veneers. Our 5-year limited warranty covers the breakage of material for porcelain veneers. To be eligible for this warranty, patients must attend regular six-monthly scale and clean appointments at any of our practice locations to ensure the health and maintenance of your veneers. The warranty does not cover any issues arising from pre-existing dental diseases, gum problems, or cavities unrelated to the veneers themselves.
If you’ve previously had composite resin veneers placed within the last year, you may be eligible for our upgrade promotion. You can replace your existing composite veneers with Emax ceramic veneers to enjoy the superior strength, durability, and aesthetics that porcelain offers.
