The technology we use at Hornsby Dental:
Digital 3-D X-Ray System:

Three-dimensional dental imaging may be used when clinically indicated to help assess teeth and surrounding structures and plan treatment. Your dentist will consider whether imaging is needed for your circumstances and discuss the benefits and risks.
Digital dental X-rays produce images that your dentist can review on a screen. They may assist assessment and treatment planning when clinically indicated. The need for X-rays and the type of imaging depend on individual circumstances.
Intraoral Cameras:
At Hornsby Dental, we know that a picture is worth a thousand words, even more so in Dentistry!
We use intraoral cameras to take magnified digital photos of your teeth.
These images are then displayed on our ceiling mounted computer screen for both the patient and doctor to view. We recognise that this is an invaluable tool to diagnose, explain and record dental problems.
You will also get to see what the dentist sees when our dentists are examining your teeth, which provides you with a unique point of view, and a better understanding of your dental health.
Soft Tissue Laser:
A soft tissue laser may be used for selected dental procedures following an assessment. Suitability, discomfort, recovery and risks vary with the procedure and individual circumstances. Your dentist will discuss available options and their limitations.
Invisalign uses a series of clear removable aligners designed to move teeth over time. Suitability and outcomes vary. Aligners are commonly changed about every 2 weeks according to the prescribed plan, with tooth movement and progress reviewed during treatment.
Aligner treatment requires ongoing wear, cleaning and review as directed by your dentist. Discomfort and adjustments to daily routines may occur. Aligners are removed for eating and oral hygiene, and your dentist will explain care instructions and the review schedule.
